I have "CZ 452-2E ZKM Lux" and it is extremely fine weapon. Good iron sights what I want for hunting weapon. Low tech is when you have less issues like things breaking. Survival tool and one of the best of that. I have scope on mine, but just ordered better scope to it, Hawke Vantage IR 3-9x40 Subsonic .22 LR. So I think it will be even better after the upgrade.

I used to have a savage .270 110 c from the 80s that would consistently do 5 shot .5 inch groups at 100 yards

Nice to see a WHOTEEWHO classic with the new cartridges. Interesting result. Along with the deformation like you mentioned I’m guessing the smaller/skinnier area of the bullet from face-on gave the advantage to the smaller calibers.

My Remington 700 in .223 came with a scope and I was shooting it and I shot it first thing was dead center, I shot again and didn’t see where it hit, this is at 100 yards on a coldwell led sled, shot 5 more times and I thought it was missing the target, so I aimed up and shot it hit above the bullseye. All the shots I thought were missing were going straight through the same hole….i was amazed 😮

They are different tools. The 17HMR is flatter for better long range performance as long as there isn't much crosswind. It also fragments and doesn't ricochet as much with such a light frangible projectile. I've shot thousands of prairie dogs with the 17 and at some yardages the bullet does not exit. Perfect for tight quarters shooting when you don't want the bullet to go far if you miss or carry on very far after a hit. The .22 mag is great for shorter ranges and in places where there is a good backstop or open space where you don't care about a pass thru. Even with a Vmax bullet in the .22mag there is just more mass to go flying around places you don't want it to.

A ball projectile is gonna let more air pass by in the barrel. You need to shoot the same slug from both. Or put the ball projectile in the hammer and test

I've loaded much worse looking bullets than that! Everytime I see a sale on "bullet seconds" I go on a buying spree! If any bullets have corrosion on them I clean it off with a fiber scouring pad and keep them separate to shoot first! I've never had a problem with them! The only place I don't compromise is with primers. I only use CCI primers! Also, I have never found a Maximum velocity load to be the most accurate load, as you can see from your targets! If I were loading those I would go with the first load you shot! Remember, consistency is more important than bullet drop! You can compensate for drop, but the bigger spread at 100 yards is going to multiply every 100 yards past that. FYI, I've been reloading for over 66 years. Dad started me reloading at age 13! And I've put a lot of meat on the table in that time!

A few years ago I cut a tendon in my thumb and had surgery to get it fixed. I can definitely say that with 1 thumb I felt like half a human being. You never know how much you need your thumb until it doesn't work. Hope you heal up soon!

Couldn't make up my mind so I own them both. .357 has more weights and speeds for versatility but the Sig has more capacity for daily carry in those rough neighborhoods. Sometimes I carry one as the backup to the other.

Well more power isn't always the answer, that is if we're talking paper plates, because a high power skinny bullet will do better than a fatter bullet, big game is what you want to compare these bullet with.

G.K. USA. Never sell a a gun that you like in order to buy a gun that you desire. Keep the old and buy the new. My mistakes were to buy a Nylon 66 instead of a Savage-Anshutz. My dad would have helped me buy the latter .22. I should have purchased both. The Anshutze was 125- 150. This premiere rifle sky-rockeded in price shortly. The cool looking Nylon 66 was Too light and could not be as accurate as I desired. After it was n o longer manufactured, its price sky-rocketed. Later, I purchased a Colt Python. I did not care for the grips, nor the short cylinder that wouldn't accept 180 grain bullets. I should have cleaned and oiled the beautiful revolver and packed it away. Instead, I sold it. Big mistake! A close friend and fellow hunter, bought a used Rem. 742 with a Realist scope. His deer hunting was 50-50 woods and field. I sghted his rifle in and achieved 1"groups of 2- 3 shot strings. Then he shot several 3 shot groups of 1" at 100 yards. The ammo was what I used- Federal Premium 165gr. Sierra boattails. I advised him to not change anything. Several years later, he bought his ailing brother's Browning BAR 30- 06. Wonderful! In several years, his son will be hunting with one of the two rifles. Then he told me that his wife told him that he could not own more than one firearm. Therefore, he had to sell the Rem.742 30- 06 that produced 1:groups. I pleaded with him to not sell that gun. I offered to hide it in my house. He said that she would demand the $200 that paid for and would sell it for. Just as I was considering buying his rifle and adding it to my .30 cal. collection, he sold the Rem. I cried. Two years later, he ruined his Browning by packing it Wet( it rained that day)into his rifle case and leaving that way for a year. We both cried. Several years later, he and his wife divorced due to her Bi-polar condition. Tom quit hunting due to heart disease and passed 10 years later.

Hey man another great video, been watching forever. Always check your videos before looking to buy something. Have you thought about checking out bear creek arsenal AR stuff? Once you get the lower the uppers are extremely affordable but getting different opinions on if they are accurate shooters or not. Would love to see you try a few of their calibers out.

All of us old long time handloaders have a few fifty, sixty, or older year old components here and there. It works just fine if it’s been stored reasonably protected from the elements. I’ve got some of my pop’s powder and primers and bullets from the 1960s that he never used up completely and I’ve loaded some to test and it still works just fine.

😂😂 yeah the 6.5 PRC is such a great Cartridge from Hornady 147gn ELD-M at 2819ft/s when my good old 6.5x55SE does the same speed out of a 22inch Barrel with 140gn in Pressure Specs my loads are tested and they are under CIP Max pressure (they come at around 3750bar so totally safe to use with a modern Rifle Mauser M12 Expert Grade 5 Walnut i would not hesitate to go even to aroud 4k but this load shoots the best consistent half MOA 5 Shot Groups) 😂😂 yeah totally worth the hype same for the Creedmoor, Paul Mauser and the Swedish and Norway Millitary build a fantastic Round in 1893 and Hornady 130 Years later gets nearly the same Performance 👍😜😂😂

I think you know what you're doing and you know how to get the best out of a setup. Glad you get on with it. It looks like it is less unpleasant than the usual 7prc kick. Or again you might just really know how to control it.

What’s the calibers & NO I don’t want a 6.5 Creedmoor. If the .260 Remington was named the “.260 Creedmoor”, it would be THE gun instead of the 6.5 Hornady.
